The Lore

In Eberron, during the crusades and campaign against lyncanthropes gone mad, the order of the Silver Flame paid no mind to the cause of the sudden blood thirsty nature of this race of the land. They slaughtered without question or mercy not just lyncanthropes but any otherworldly creature or captured things they couldn't destroy or understand all in the name of peace. A paladin from the ranks stood up to the bloodbath and genocide and was cast out as a result.

Afterwards, on his own, Corrin Keltar sought to understand the mysterious happenings of the land as well as give aid to creatures where needed and stop true threats to the world should they arise. To do this he would go on the found The Veil and would find and recruit others who saw purpose in his mission and along the way help others perhaps solve the mysteries in their own lives.

The Veil now sits in a former keep in Shadukar north of the burnt woods and its mission is his. Seek out and investigate the paranormal of the world, help where they can and stop those that would bring harm and corruption.

Meet The Characters

Journey

Born to two human parents, Journey's shocking visage was never met with compassion. Hidden from the world to shelter him from the prying eyes of the community his family lived in, he was eventually discovered and his home razed to the ground, killing his parents. Now growing up on the streets of the community that hated him, Journey began to despise the societies of the privileged. He struggled to survive and a building storm of resentment began to take hold.

Mahina

Mahina and her twin Alina are the children of Gemina Thuranni (one of the children of the head of house Thuranni) and Damien (a human bard who worked gathering intell for the house). Mahina and her sister weren't looked on fondly by most of the family due to them being half elves and there father, while he still worked for the family, wasn't favored either because the family saw him as someone who was "stealing" Gemina from them and from her duties to the house. When it came time for Mahina and Alina to see if they had the Mark of Shadow, both of them failed. In fear of what house Thuranni would do to their daughters, Gemina and Damien took them in the middle of the night to start a new life in the city of Flamekeep.

Tomas

Two years ago in the village of Bluevine, a savage culling occurred. Tomas was found bloodied, but otherwise untouched, by a handful of priests sent to investigate. His only memory of the night was that of the shadowy figure that gave pause when it saw him and proceeded to walk away. Under their care, Tomas learned the importance of knowledge and history. He has taken on the role of a knowledge priest in the town of Passage serving nobility, and those with coin, on everything from horticulture to medicine. In every hour of his spare time, he writes in his journal or researches the paranormal, trying to find clues on what may have spared his life on the evening he lost all his memories.

Z3-K3

Z3-K3 was created by a Cyran halfling artificer toward the end of the Last War. He witnessed many of his brethren destroyed on the battlefield as Cyre was chipped away during the war. He rose through the ranks quickly as much due to attrition of his comrades as to skill as a warrior. After the Cataclysm, Z3-K3 wandered through the Mournland aimlessly until he was recruited by the Veil. Now Z3-K3, the last of thy Cyran warforged searches for the purpose beyond his programming.
